Youth Ministry

There are several theological tasks for youth ministry. Church of the Cross youth programs are designed to create an environment that allows these tasks to be developed and applied. The tasks are:

• To call young people to be disciples of Jesus Christ
• This calling comes both personally and in community
• To respond to needs and interests of young people
• To teach working together, having youth and adults in partnership
• To be connected to the whole church community and world
• To be inclusive of all young people regardless of unique differences

In addition to having programs designed to live out the theological tasks, our youth ministry events, programs, and recreation are designed to build community enabling its members to have a place to explore, to ask questions, and to be themselves as well as have opportunities to experience God in everything we do.
