The Mission Committee was created as an outcome of Long-Range Planning in 2004.
The first committee meeting was February 20, 2005 with 20 volunteer members and it meets monthly.
The committee oversees the general mission budget which is 20% of the church budget.
Mission-Minded Members (3M) can place their name on a list at the Information Desk.
They receive a emails of upcoming mission events so they can volunteer for those that fit their mission spirit.
A "Spirit of Mission" newsletter is published about the mission events quarterly.
The committee's focus is to connect the money given to selected agencies, groups and individuals with hands-on support.
To glorify God by identifying and facilitating opportunities
to effectively engage us, the congregation,
to share our gifts of time, talent and money
with those in need in our community and the world.
We will accomplish this by following Christ's example
of caring and demonstrating faith and love
through action using the Scripture as our guide.
