BUILDING EXPANSION EXPLORATION COMMITTEE

Minutes – May 15, 2006 – 7 pm

Committee Members present: Jean Brady, Doug Hartman, Larry Keating, Mac McCartney, John Morey, Mary Ann Pederson

The meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 2 was not held.

No agenda had been prepared for this meeting and only half the committee was present, therefore discussion on whether to proceed. Discussed need for definitive building-usage data; staff will be asked to update Jean’s spreadsheet on usage of each room by day and time, to be reported on Tuesday, May 30 at our next meeting.

An architectural sketch (revision of the Hahn plan or a new concept) is needed before further discussion can proceed. Mac has one partially completed which he will bring to next meeting. Lloyd Meyer is asked to convene the church-member architects and have something to show the committee at our May 30 meeting.

Discussion about financing needs to wait until these elements are better established. Dennis Boesen may be asked to speak to the committee at a later meeting.

Committee members joined the Session members who were meeting about graphic representation of the proposed project. We saw and gave input on several versions of a logo/slogan design.

Next meeting: Tuesday, May 30 7 pm. (the day after Memorial Day).
