16, 2007
Attendees: Paula Allen, Henry Arms, Amy Boesen, Ken Hahn, Jerry Hahn, Brad Hubl of KHA, Doug Hartman, Mac McCartney, Lloyd Meyer, Mary Ann Pederson
Reroofing project
Work is underway. Recent heavy rains have leaked through some places, but any damage will be covered by contractors’ insurance. Kenneth Hahn Architects’ contract administrator had a favorable report on interim repairs; permanent repairs to damaged areas will wait until all work on the roof is completed.
Prep. for Report to
Congregation on October 21
Theme for the congregation meeting will be a progress report on the facilities long range plan, emphasizing the success of compromises that allow most needs expressed by the members to be met within the budget dictated by capital campaign pledges. The phasing of the architects’ original schematic is well-positioned for additional features to be completed as additional money becomes available.
Meeting will be held in Fellowship Hall after second service on October 21. Lloyd will open with a quick review of facilities master plan and its four phases, showing the graphics from the previous congregation meeting and reminding of the outcome of the capital campaign. Ken and Jerry will explain latest plans with floor plans and 3-D Sketch-Up model, explaining what will be finished out and what will wait for additional funding. They will also discuss a probable timetable of bidding and construction, and explain the reroofing project.
Questions will be answered briefly, and written questions will be answered with published proceedings of the meeting which will be available to all congregation members. The meeting will finish by about 1:00 pm.
All BIC
members are asked to be present if possible on Sunday, Oct. 21, 12-1:00 pm.
